If you choose “Reject optional,” “Essential only,” or otherwise keep optional analytics off, optional analytics should not load from this site. The current implementation gates analytics on the saved cookie-consent preference.

Affiliate and advertising measurement

• Avoid clicking external booking, map, hotel, tour, advertising, or affiliate links if you do not want to interact with those providers.

Browser and Global Privacy Control signals

Some browsers and extensions send Global Privacy Control or similar opt-out signals. Where technically feasible and applicable, we aim to treat those signals as a request not to use optional sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising style technologies. The site’s current optional analytics still depends on your saved consent choice, and third-party providers may have their own signal handling.

Third-party limitations

City Field Guide’s banner controls optional tools loaded by this site. It does not control cookies or identifiers already stored by your browser, cookies set by another website, or data practices used by booking platforms, map providers, ad networks, affiliate networks, hotels, tour operators, or other outside services after you leave this site.
